Do You Qualify?

The flat fee applies to uncontested Virginia divorces where:

  • There are no property disputes, support issues, or child custody issues, or everything is already reflected in a signed settlement agreement
  • Your case includes, if needed, a simple separation agreement where each side walks away
  • Your spouse will sign a waiver — or can’t be reached, and the case proceeds by publication

Common Questions

What makes a divorce “uncontested”?

You and your spouse agree on everything — the divorce itself, property, support, and any issues involving children — or you already have a signed settlement agreement reflecting those terms. Nothing is left for a judge to decide except granting the divorce.

What if my spouse won’t respond or can’t be found?

Virginia law allows a divorce to proceed by order of publication in appropriate cases. Our $695 flat fee covers that process.

Can I get my prior name back?

Yes — name restoration to a prior name can be handled with your divorce for an additional $250.

What is NOT included in the flat fee?

Court filing fees and court costs are paid separately. Retirement orders ($500–$1,000 per order) and Virginia property deeds ($250 per deed) are optional add-ons. Full details and the scope of services are set out in the representation agreement.

Do I have to come to an office?

We serve clients across Virginia statewide. Most uncontested matters are handled by phone, text, email, and mail. Our office is at 205 Van Buren Street, Suite 120, Herndon, VA 20170 if you prefer to meet.
